In 1984 he received his Bachelor of Arts in Biblical Studies from Wheaton College, Illinois, followed by a Bachelor of Theology from Ridley College, Melbourne. He entered the pastorate in 1989, serving in Melbourne. this was followed by missionary service in the outback of Paraguay, South America, where he worked with the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship International. He is currently pastoring Living Hope Church in Liverpool, N.S.W. His desire is to see people come to Jesus and brought to maturity in Him. Helen was born in Sydney and came to know Jesus at the age of 10. After being baptized in the Spirit at the age of 18, she felt called to serve the Lord in ministry. She married Mark in 1986 and studied at Ridley College with him. She has served in children's, youth and dance ministries as well as teaching the Word, both in the local church and as a missionary in Paraguay. In 2004 the Lord spoke to Mark in a dream to go to Indonesia. Since then Mark has been doing itinerant work as well as pastoring. He has travelled to Indonesia numerous times, including Vanuatu, Philippines, New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, and in Australia. The preaching of the Word has been accompanied by wonderful miracles, to God be all the glory. When Mark was a teenager the Lord spoke to him to write simple books to help people understand the great spiritual principles of the Bible. Mark Hemans is married to Helen and they have five
children. Mark was born in Chile, migrating with his family to Sydney, where he
grew up in the context of the great charismatic movement of the 1970's. He was
converted as a boy and called by the Lord to pastor at the age of 17. He
received the baptism of the Holy Spirit at that time, and was healed of partial
deafness.
