Indonesia May 2005
I want to give God
the glory for all that He did in our recent trip to
Kalimantan
,
Indonesia
. Thankyou for those who prayed and/or fasted.
Prayer releases God’s power.
The
greatest miracle of all was to see hundreds of people giving
their lives to Jesus Christ. The preaching of the Gospel was accompanied by
wonderful miracles.
The
Holy Spirit was also calling people to preach the Gospel
and testify of Jesus. Many of those who responded to the call were baptized in
the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. In some of the meetings the Lord
miraculously called people forward by their name.
Jesus heals dying
man & saves his family!
On the first night I was asked
to go to visit a sick man, Angkas. He is the cousin of our translator. I went
into his bedroom where he lay in bed on oxygen. His
heart was functioning at 15% capacity. The doctors had
operated unsuccessfully on his heart. Angkas was sent home to die. His family
were gathered around him in grief. I told his family that they looked like
they were at a funeral, but it is easy to be healed.
Angkas
told me how he believed that Jesus Christ
would heal him. He
said that he could see Jesus standing before him. I
asked him to stand, take off the oxygen, and walk in the Name of Jesus. The
family parted as he walked from his bedroom, and then began to do exercises! Almost
everyone in the room gave their lives to Jesus when they saw the miracle. See
how happy his family is in the photo. Angkas continues to strengthen. He
is pictured here in the yellow shirt with his hand raised high. TO
GOD BE THE GLORY!
Hundreds give their
lives to Jesus
In the public hall
of a logging town called Tambu Manggu, the crowd lifted
their hands to receive Jesus Christ. One woman came forward and told how she saw heavenly light. Surely
we had an open heaven. Praise God!
The next morning a woman testified
how she was healed of breast cancer. Praise God!
Jesus calls for Gospel
workers
In Palangkaraya
(left), the
Holy Spirit miraculously called a young man by name, John, to preach the
Gospel. John told me that he had always wanted to preach the
Gospel. The Holy Spirit came upon him in power. In the same meeting the Lord
called forward others by their first names to work in His vineyard. Jesus said
that the Shepherd calls us by name.
Many young people responded to the call to
preach the Gospel and experienced the wonderful power of the Holy Spirit. Truly the baptism in the Holy Spirit is given that we might be His
witnesses, and tell others of Jesus. The Holy Spirit not only comes to renew
us, but to empower us to be His witnesses.
Healings and deliverance
In
numerous meetings people
had visions of Jesus. In one meeting there were some 1000 people
present. A newly converted muslim boy came forward.
He said that he saw Jesus moving amongst the people. In another meeting a
woman said she saw Jesus greeting all the people.
In
the Presence of Jesus there is healing.
Some of the healing testimonies include: a man with a long term
heart/chest condition healed; a woman whose flesh was rotting from cancer
experienced healing power flowing through her; a man with abdominal problem
healed; a woman with a swollen throat instantly healed as a spirit leaves her;
a man who had suffered pain in his leg for 1 year is instantly healed; a young
woman who had no strength in her hand gives me a strong handshake; a man with
long-term leg pain begins to stomp the ground without pain; a woman is
instantly healed of long term back & leg pain, and a young woman screams
as the Holy Spirit drives a demon from her.
TO GOD BE ALL THE GLORY.
6000 pray in football stadium
Last year I said to a friend that we should have a prayer meeting in the
football stadium of Palangkaraya,
Kalimantan
. I believed it was from the Lord. So this visit I was amazed to attend the
Transformation prayer convention in the football stadium with around 6000
others. (Left) the Governor and mayor of Palangkaraya opened the event. It
was awesome to be with thousands of people praying and believing for revival
in
Indonesia
and
Kalimantan
.
Thankyou
for praying.
Praise God for His mighty works!
Bless you, Mark & Helen.
